Meeting·
Club founded!
We signed off the statutes and founded the club. We also talked about the next steps and how we want to organize ourselves.
- short introduction round, there were two new people!
- we introduced our committee and had all the positions filled:
- Chairperson: Felix
- Vice Chairperson: Markus
- Treasurer: Jonas
- Vice Treasurer: Jürgen
- Secretary: Florian
- Vice Secretary: Teo
- Billing Officer: Frank
- Second Billing Officer: Martin
- Now we have to hand in the documents and need to wait for the official confirmation of the club
- Next step of the location is that we have a meeting with Thomas and the Startup Carinthia (SUC) Delegation to discuss how we can use the space and use it so we have the most outcome for both of us
- SUC had a meeting with WKO where they mentioned us and said that we are trying to fill the space with people
- the goal is primarily to prepare the "stage" near the kitchen as a couch area and on the left there should be tables that can be used to work on projects
- we had a discussion about social media accounts and if we want to use them, this were our conclusions:
- we want to use various social media channels but we dont want to post on all of them equally
- mastodon should be used for the most part
- other social media channels primarily for announcements and to reach a wider audience
- so no personal insights into the club life on other channels than mastodon, but we can share some of the content on other channels as well
- talked about various possible events we could do in the future:
- fpv drone simulator evenings
- ai assisted coding workshops
- 3D printing wokshops
- talked about possibilities to put a server rack into the space
- someone mentioned that there is software that sometimes have a free license for non-profit organizations, so we should check if we can get some software for free
- when we produce more flyers we should use trackable qr codes so we can see where people are coming from and which channels are working best for us
- Alex had an idea about a small electronic parts store in the space, where we can provide some basic components for people who want to do some projects
- we also talked about the next meeting, which will be on 28 May 2026
