node-K is moving chat over to Matrix, membership fees start in July, and the club is weighing several new locations including Makerspace.
1. Infrastructure & Membership
- Chat Migration: The club is moving its chat over to Matrix. Discord will remain as an entry point — new members joining Discord will be pointed to the Matrix server.
- Membership: Member forms have gone out, and membership fees are being collected starting in July.
2. Location Scouting

3. Upcoming Events
- Linux Day Villach — 30th October 2026, BG|BRG St. Martin, Villach. Linux Stammtisch Villach has offered node-K a free stand. Plan: visitors build and personalize their own NFC keychain at the stand, then use it to check in at other stands around the school, building a live visualization of where visitors have been.
- Hackspace Weekend: A full weekend at node-K to work together on ongoing projects. Regular meetups are also being extended to Tuesdays and Saturdays. Date to be announced.
- Founding Party: Makerspace construction is expected to finish on 12th July 2026, with the party planned shortly after. Date to be announced.
4. COOPI (Design & Branding)
- Logo: A refined concept is in progress — orange nodes and paths, blue nodes and paths, with added transparent background paths for more depth from a distance.
- QR Code Generator: Built by Felix Fox, currently available on the club's Git, soon to be hosted publicly.
- Design System: A public site is being planned so anyone can browse the club's shared design rules, colors, and components.
5. General Assembly
- The General Assembly is set for 25th August 2026.
