General Assembly 25th August 2026

node-K held its General Assembly, passing the club rules and fee structure, confirming the board, and introducing a new Space Bonus.

1. Introduction

  • This year's General Assembly took place a bit later than planned; from next year on it will be held in Q2 again.
  • 7 voting members were present, and votes were cast through the club's management app (anonymous voting available). Resolutions pass by simple majority, regardless of how many voting members are present.
  • Four resolutions were on the agenda: club rules, fee structure, board confirmation, and the Space Bonus proposal.

2. Club Rules (Vereinsordnung)

  • Updated club rules were presented, with no further changes proposed by those present.

3. Fee Structure (Beitragsordnung)

Minimum membership fees:

  • Regular: €30
  • Reduced: €20
  • Supporting: €10

Reduced rates remain possible. The update mainly cleaned up formatting and removed content already covered by the club's statutes.

4. Board

A possible future change was raised: if a board member steps down, their deputy could move into the main role, with a newly elected member co-opted into the now-open deputy position.

5. Space Bonus

  • 10% (up to €5) of a membership fee can be used as credit within the space (e.g. for drink donations).
  • The board may adjust this percentage at any time, within a range of 0–20%.
  • Unused credit expires at the end of each month.
  • The vote covered the idea itself, not the specific percentage.

6. Organizational Stuff

  • Discussion regarding website CMS: Directus was chosen with a static website backup plan
  • OpenProject vs NextCloud Deck: Switching to OpenProject as our internal project management tool
  • node-K Sign for our Space: Felix has been working on a Design for a large node-K sign. We spent the rest of the evening coming up with ideas on how we want to make it.

A small celebration marks one month of paying members, an insurance offer is on the table, and the Design System v1.0 is live.

Official opening at Makerspace Carinthia

The official opening celebration of node-K at Makerspace Carinthia brought together the community for a summer evening of barbecue, music, and a shared new start.
